If you are currently supporting a loved one in the Florida Prison system; this petition is for you!

With enough signatures, Florida prisoners will be able to work and earn income while incarcerated. This initiative is a win for all involved! Friends and family will no longer need to send money to their loved ones. Prisoners will be able to support themselves and learn employable skills. These skills can be used to prepare them for release.

POWERSTART has created a program called THE LOCKSMITH. This program is set in place to reform and rehabilitate prisoners into productive members of society in the following ways:

1) By providing job training.

2) By providing jobs in prison. 

3) By setting prisoners up with jobs that they will be hired as soon as they are released from prison.

4) By providing homes and apartments for prisoners being released.

5) By providing a supervision program geared to help ex-prisoners to maintain their new life.

POWERSTART also provides programs that gives full assistance to incarcerated prisoners; helping them build and start their own business.
